Almost Ready!

This week, Maggie and I have really cracked down on prepping for the Seton Store pop-up shop at the Mount. Over the past few months, Maggie and I have carefully been picking out clothes that we think college students would be interested in. I am very happy that we have achieved our goal of filling three racks of clothes (2 racks of women’s and 1 of men’s). We have not been very organized with our storage methods, so we finally organized the racks by size and clothing type, and designed signs for each of the racks.

It is really nice to see all of Maggie and my hard work coming together. The fliers that we designed with Maggie’s mom have started circulating, and I have already gotten excited messages from fellow students who are looking forward to the pop-up shop. I am hopeful that this event will go off without a hitch!

We also got back to our normal sorting and tagging of clothes. Many of the donations this week were clothing donations, so there were many bags of clothes to go through. We have had about a week and a half long break from this task, so it did not feel nearly as monotonous as it did a few weeks ago. The highlight of sorting/tagging was getting to go through a ton of baby girls’ clothing ranging in size from newborn to 6 months. This was exciting because the clothes were absolutely adorable, as well as because I know that we do not get too many children’s clothing donations.
